What was your favorite moment from the wedding day?
Our private vows and first touch were so special. It was so hard to not look at eachother but the moment after when I finally got to go down the aisle all I can remember is looking at Tristin and thinking about everything he said to me and how lucky I was. Our private first dance was also special in the wedding pavilion. It was a moment where we got to just let it sink in that we were finally married.
How did you feel when you first saw everything come together at the venue?
Honestly, I don't even remember seeing it come together. I was so distracted by seeing him for the first time coming down the aisle, but looking back on pictures it was stunning and even better than I could have imagined. The floral team did an amazing job, and you just can't beat the beauty of the wedding pavilion. We even got moved to our backup location for the reception, and although Tamu Tamu would have been beautiful, the train station was still breathtaking, and everything came together perfectly.
Was there a part of the planning process that stood out as especially enjoyable or memorable for you?
My favorite part was running through everything after all the decisions were made and imagining how it would all come together. My favorite calls were probably the one with floral and the one with the photography, just because I feel like that is where things started to feel real and like it was finally happening.
What was the most unexpected or pleasantly surprising part of your wedding day?
I think it was getting moved to our backup location, but it was still so beautiful you really could not tell that it wasn’t originally supposed to take place there.
How did your family and friends react to the overall experience and design of your wedding?
Everyone thought it was beautiful and something that was truly unique to us.
Were there any personal touches or details that felt particularly meaningful to you?
There were so many. Of course, our private moments like our vows and our first dance, but also having the vintage car take my dad and me to the ceremony and then driving us separately from the guests to our reception at Animal Kingdom. It was special to just have those moments that truly felt like us. I also loved having my great-grandma’s handkerchief sewn into my dress and my great-grandpa’s ring tied into my bouquet. I also had a necklace on that is considered good luck and has been worn by all the women in my family on their wedding day.
If you could give one piece of advice to couples currently planning their wedding, what would it be?
I honestly would say to stay true to yourself as a couple; everything will come together in the end. You won’t even notice as many of the details as you think you will because you will be so wrapped up in finally marrying your partner.
How did having us as your wedding planners make a difference in your experience?
Fairytales & Wedding Bells was a full-service experience. Michelle was great and supported me every step of the way. I was really worried about all the details coming together, and she did multiple calls with me to make sure I had everything ready exactly how I wanted it. She made the day fun for both of us and our guests and we felt like we were able to relax and enjoy our day.
What aspect of the wedding do you think your guests will remember the most?
This was the first time a lot of our guests were able to see the wedding pavilion and I think they will all remember how stunning it was and I think they will remember walking through Animal Kingdom as the park closed because we got to see so much with a small crowd.
Looking back, is there anything you’d do differently, or was it everything you hoped for and more?
Everything was even better than I could have imagined. Once it started, I saw nothing but Tristin smiling at me at the end of the aisle, and it was just the perfect day, and I can’t wait to start our married lives together.
Is there anything else you want to add?
Thank you, Michelle! :)
