After I Do: Jessica & Brendan

What was your favorite moment from the wedding day?
Watching the reworks at the end together, and having that moment to reflect as the day was wrapping up with our family above us was really nice. It wasn't planned, but the privacy was really great, and to have a private conversation for a little bit as it settled in, and then to see the reworks up close.
How did you feel when you first saw everything come together at the venue?
Relieved. Excited. Like a weight was lifted off our shoulders. Like you guys were definitely worth every penny, and there was nothing left to do but enjoy the moment, and it was all worth it!
Was there a part of the planning process that stood out as especially enjoyable or memorable for you?
The food tasting was definitely memorable! Seeing Mickey and Minnie is always a blast!
What was the most unexpected or pleasantly surprising part of your wedding day?
There was time for everything! I was nervous there wouldn't be enough time for people to enjoy dancing, or 30 minutes wasn't enough time for characters, but it all came together perfectly, and everyone got to enjoy everything!
How did your family and friends react to the overall experience and design of your wedding?
Everyone said it was one of the best weddings they've ever been to! I think the kids loved the aquarium and even played rock, paper, scissors with the scuba divers. Overwhelmingly positive.
Were there any personal touches or details that felt particularly meaningful to you?
We forgot to take pictures with the cast member name tags. Having the dog cake topper there meant a lot. When they played Who Let the Dogs Out for the characters, everyone thought our dog was going to come out! I think the pinboard at the ceremony is also something a lot of people came back to us about and loved.
If you could give one piece of advice to couples currently planning their wedding, what would it be?
Hire Michelle. That can't be understated. You can't understate the value of a day of coordinator. Disney wedding planners have too much on their plates, balancing brides other than yourselves. You will need a right-hand man other than your partner.
How did having us as your wedding planners make a difference in your experience?
It made the day extremely low-stress, especially for my easily frantic husband. He gets frazzled very easily, and it makes me very frustrated when it happens. She prevented all the times it could've happened, and I'm very thankful for it every day I look back.
What aspect of the wedding do you think your guests will remember the most?
The roller coaster for those who choose guardians. I think the characters for those who chose Remy’s.
Looking back, is there anything you’d do differently, or was it everything you hoped for and more?
I think I would change the menu since a lot of the food wasn't at the food tasting. I would possibly push for a smaller cake and offer a food option to bring home. I really wish I had a snack when I was heading home, like popcorn or a pretzel, and I know that is an option. I would probably also give myself more time to think about the welcome parties/farewell brunch.
Is there anything else you want to add?
I couldn’t be happier with everything you guys did for us, and next vow renewal, we will definitely be repeat customers.
